Let there be House Week

It is house week in Maroela country and today marked the start of this week long celebration of Maroela traditions.

Throughout the week there will be a series of sport and recreational activities that the individual corridors of Maroela will be competing in to be crowned the ultimate winners of house week.

 

The play of the day was touch rugby. Corridors competed against each other in what I must say, was the toughest touchies tournament I've ever witnessed in my time at Maroela. Fast pased tries made it difficult to really say who the winner of the pool matches will be. Time favored the teams who could sneak in that last minute try before the final whistle.

Boksom Bliksems played against Bataljon in an all-out final. At the break the two teams where deadlocked, the respective coaches had a quick talk with their teams and one came out all guns blazing. Boksom Bliksems went on to score three more tries after the break, against Bataljons 1, and secured the win to take home the points. Well done to Ernest's boys!
