Internal Culture in Lilium and all the other residences is about the exploration of different cultures through social evenings and events with boys’ residences. There are many of these events such as the Greek Wedding with Taaibos, Mr. and Miss. Lilium, Ms. Geitjie, Floor Decorations and many other exciting events.

External
This portfolio compromises of Ienkmelodienk, Serrie and Serenade. Ienkmelodienk (a.k.a ‘Ienk’) is the 1st year concert that all the residences put on for the students of Tuks University. It is held in the Amphitheatre on Main campus. It is a combination of singing, dancing and instrument playing. Serrie is the same thing as ‘Ienk’ except the whole House participates. On one night the guys perform their Serrie to the girls’ residences and the next night the girls perform to them. Serenade is the equivalent of Glee.
SOCIAL Internal
Social Internal focuses on the special events that happen within House Lilium. This includes events such as the 1st year cocktail dinner, the Semi dinner, House dinee, Unsung Heroes and Prestige. Bring matric dresses and cocktail outfits for these occasions. Get ready for some of the most unforgettable evenings in 2013.
External
Social External consists of all the socials you will be having during the year. These socials are with guys’ residences either at their residence or a specific place around Hatfield. All these socials have a theme (see picture on left) so bring all your dress-up clothes to Lilium so that you can dress according to the weird and wonderful themes that we have to offer.
Spiritual
The spiritual portfolio is all about you. There are many opportunities for you to grow on a spiritual level with all the activities we offer. There is a spiritual week once a year. It involves worshiping, drama and many more things. This is an opportunity for you to connect with God, get rid of your stress and discover who you truly are.
RAG
The Reach out and Give program (RAG) is about having fun while giving back to those in need. It includes pot-and-pons where we impress the judges with our punch, potjie and themes. Then we have RAG week and RAG procession where all the residences floats are showed off. Throughout the year there will be outreach programs.
Sport
Sport at Lilium is very competitive. We always aim high and strive to do our best in every sport in which we partake. We have hockey, netball, basketball and soccer. We also have ‘Ienk’ athletics for the 1st years at the beginning of the year. This involves all the residences at the LC Campus athletics track for an evening of fun and games. In addition we also participate in Drastoel and Kaskar. Furthermore, there is a TSG (Tuks student gym) on Groenkloof campus and they offer aerobics and Pilate’s classes too.
