The I.V.S.A. exists to benefit the animals and people of the world by harnessing the potential and dedication of veterinary students to promote the international application of veterinary skills, education and knowledge.

South Africa is one of many IVSA chapters all over the world. We take part in a variety of international events, including IVSA’s annual congress and symposia, group exchanges with other chapters involved in IVSA as well as individual student exchanges. Recently, we have also started to organise local events, to get more South African students actively involved in IVSA – South Africa.
