Boekenhout Wins Serrie........AND Serenade in 2011

This year Boekenhout has done what was deemed impossible by winning serenade and serrie the two biggest culture events on the Tuks Culture calendar.

First it was the Gangs of Alcatraz that Chilled the crowds of screaming fans by not only winning the prelims and best theme but by winning the overall prize of Serrie-kings.

Then came another sort of chill (literally) when the Boekenhout Escimos made a clean sweep of winning: Best own composition, best theme, best prescribed song as well as the overall winners of the Serenade......this truly is Boekenhout’s year.

A send off braai will be held on the 1^st of September to wish the guys luck with their performance on nationals. If Boekenhout wins this competition we will be the very first men’s residence on campus to achieve the treble of winning serrie, serenade and serenade nationals.
