New Semester

With everyone having enjoyed the holidays the Republic is ready for the second half of the year 2012. This week saw the Republic win Kaskar (which we last won in 2006 and has been won by Sonop ever since until this year) congrats to the gents and the support!

Run for rhinos was also a big success with a strong turnout by the republic.

We continued the first week of the second semester where we left off in the first semester in regards to sport with the First Team taking on Sonop and drawing 18 – 18 (Tough match indeed) and still remain undefeated still this year. This semester sees the kick off of the soccer season and it got off a good start with win over Sonop 3 – 1, in which saw our team in an impressive kit. In regards to basket ball sees our team in the semi final next week against Taaibos and hope to qualify for the finals later on that night. Hockey season kicks off next week with the gents still on top of the league and also undefeated, wishing the teams well and also that pursuit for the gold.

Next week also sees the start of house week also known as Grandus festus , which sees various activities in which the Republic par take in , lots of bonding and brotherhood.

The important event that is also taking place soon is that of  Serenade which sees the Republic perform on the 7th of August  2012, tickets can be bought at www.itickets.co.za , support would be greatly appreciated.
