Looking at the month that was May...
Month that was May
Looking at the last month that was May, it can be said that there was lots of activities, sports, academics and fun.
In terms of Serrie, our theme was that of "The league of extraodinary Houte men", which encompassed our most valued attribute here at the Republic which is to be a gentlemen, and that was the message sent and the men did well taking 2nd place in the prelims and finishing 4rth in the finals, yet we stand 3rd overall in terms of External Culture and we are looking to grab 1st place with the help of Serenade in August. Thank you for the support from the republic and also the parents and old manne who come to watch.
Looking at sports things, things are going very well with our first team rugby and hockey still undefeated, as well as the basketball team qualifying for the semi finals. This will help us greatly as we aim to get back our Male Sport Res of the Year cup! The support on and off the field is of the most high.
Upcoming events include the likes of our House Week: Grandus Festus, which is an important culture week for the Republic as we bond and have fun as a res. Yet our main focus is on the academics with exams around the corner. The men are positive in their studies as we again aim to take the Male Res Academic Award (we came 2nd last year).
