PRACTICAL RULES

Each year future first years along with their parents face the uncertainty of what exactly they must bring along and what items will be given to them.

What the res provides

A bed, a closet and a desk will be provided. You will also receive a broom, chair and dustbin. We have tile floors - it would be wise to bring a carpet to put in front of your bed.

  • Washing masjines and tumble driers are available and free of charge.
  • Most students bring their own blankets, duvet and cushions and for practical reasons – it is preverred this way.

Transport

Tuks provides busses free of charge. Students are transported between res and campus. More information regarding this service can be requested with your arrival.

First years will be allowed to use their cars as long as rules of the res are being followed. A certain amount must be paid for the use of the parking provided.

Most students prefer a bike as campus is only 800m away and finding parking near campus is time consuming and difficult!
