The Bursary Committee
The purpose is to provide support and advice for the bursary initiatives in the Faculty of Economic & Management Sciences
In the past, all bursary initiatives in the faculty were administered by the Academic Co-ordinator and the Research Committee. The Faculty felt that it was necessary to create a committee which would be responsible for all bursary or scholarship initiatives. This committee will also explore ways in which the information on bursaries which is available can be disseminated in a more effective manner to staff and students alike. The Bursary Committee ensures that regulations as prescribed by the Senate, regarding bursary and related financial, matters are carried out effectively. The Committee meets every four to six weeks. Reports of the activities of the Bursary Committee are presented at the monthly meetings of the Heads of Department.
