INTERNAL CULTURE

The internal culture of Nerina often hosts a variety of events that are multi-cultural, multi-dimensional and overall fun! These events are aimed at bringing about unity and offer a platform for learning about the different types of ladies in Nerina and what they have to put forward. The “Bake off”, which is a baking competition, is thoroughly enjoyed as the ladies bond by laughing or rather enjoying each other’s domestic skills. Other events, include the “Ma and Dogter Tee”, ‘little sis and big sis’, the exciting “Russian male auction”, and the dinners which allow the ladies to unleash their imaginations.

EXTERNAL CULTURE

Ienkmelodienk is an opportunity for the first years’ chance to showcase their talent and their pride in their residence. A different theme is chosen every year and from it a show is performed through singing and dancing. This year the theme was Nerina Jockeys and the ladies had a lot of fun! This experience is one that all first years will consider as one of their many fond memories of residence as it is an emotional rollercoaster.

Serrie is even more exciting than Ienkmelodink as it involves the whole house and all the girls take part in yet another adventure that is known as residence life! Similarly to Ienkmelodink, this inter-residence dance competition is also based on a theme that changes each year. Theme this year was “dirty sexy money”, a theme that the ladies loved and enjoyed performing. The ladies have to choreograph moves to various songs, played by the band which consists of other talented Nerina ladies. This venture challenges the ladies to stretch their creativity, and expand the level of their abilities.
