An agreement between LHL(N) Consulting Engineers and the University of Pretoria (UP) to start the tender process for the construction and commissioning of a new rain shelter in Malawi was signed on 20 April 2011.

With the conclusion of the ITF Wheelchair Tennis World Team Cup - the most prestigious tennis event ever staged in this country - great admiration was served up for South Africa's finest wheelchair tennis players. The team of 12 players, four coaches and one team manager were hand selected to compete in a pool of 300 players from 34 nations. South Africa was entered into four divisions: Men's', Group II, Women's, Quad's, and Junior's.

Kgothatso Montjane, part of the South African wheelchair tennis women's team, was unbeaten at the ITF World Team Cup held at the University of Pretoria, Sports Grounds, in Tshwane.

South Africa played out for third/forth position in the World Group II against Chile today, (29 April) with an excellent result, winning 2-1, securing third place. The match is part of the ITF Wheelchair Tennis World Team Cup held at the University of Pretoria, Sports Grounds in Tshwane.

The South African men's team reached the wheelchair tennis ITF World Team Cup semi finals in the World Men's II group. This is a first for South Africa in addition to hosting an event of this stature. The annual event is the most prestigious tournament on the wheelchair tennis calendar and has attracted over 300 players from 34 nations.

Today, (26 April) the ITF Wheelchair Tennis World Team Cup - the most prestigious tennis event ever staged in this country - served up some great tennis from the South African Men's team. The team is entered into the Mens' Group II where the men seem adamant to perform well on day two.

Wheelchair Tennis South Africa (WTSA) and its presenting sponsor Airports Company South Africa, alongside the Department of Sport and Recreation South Africa (SRSA), and City of Tshwane today (Wednesday, 16 March 2011) announced the team that will represent South Africa in the ITF World Team Cup.
