The crowning of the Debutante who will take up the role of Miss Tuks RAG Queen sees the final step in a 7-month programme which started with over 80 girls who have now been pared down to the Top 19.

The Tuks RAG Procession is a parade which is one of the biggest annual events in Pretoria. On display will be a parade of floats constructed by Tuks students from residences and day houses, all in aid of charity.

The recent u/21 Interprovincial Tournament (IPT) held in Port Elizabeth and Pretoria has proved that TuksHockey has excellent players and coaching staff at the head of the Tuks programme. Notably, many Tuks players were included in the Northerns provincial squad at the tournament.

Tuks student, Carlyn Fischer, sponsored by the High Performance Centre’s (hpc) Sport Science and Medical Unit, got her season off to an excellent start when she won the women’s title at the 2012 Cape Town ITU Sprint Triathlon African Cup on Sunday, 19 February.

The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry from the Central Equatorial State (CES) in the Government of South Sudan, Honourable Minister Michael Roberto Kenyi Legge, has enrolled for a PhD in Food Security at the University of Pretoria and the object of his proposed study will be to evaluate the impact of food and agricultural policies on household food security and nutrition in his state (CES).
