On 22 September 2011, the Orange Cruyff Court at the University of Pretoria's Mamelodi Campus was launched by the Ambassador for the Kingdom of the Netherlands, His Excellency Mr André Haspels. Professor Hein Willemse of the Department of Afrikaans at UP has been the editor of the literary journal Tydskrif vir Letterkunde since 2003. The journal's 75th birthday was celebrated on the 8th of September 2011 with a small function held in the Merensky library. It is not only the oldest literary journal in South Africa, but on the African continent.
