A political economist, Moeletsi Mbeki, a younger brother of former South African President Thabo Mbeki and son of former ANC leader Govan Mbeki, visited the University of Pretoria's Groenkloof Campus where he delivered an absorbing public lecture to an audience of students, academics, politicians, journalists, business people and members of the diplomatic corps.

This scholarship is awarded to a female student for full time study at Honours (4th year) level in Chemistry, Physics, Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering at any South African University.
