The University of Pretoria has announced the appointment of Ms Patience Mushungwa as Executive Director: Human Capital and Transformation. Ms Mushungwa will assume her duties at the beginning of January 2012.

The University of Pretoria has produced a new group of 44 Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice (BCMP) students at the University of Pretoria’s Faculty of Health Sciences. The Gauteng MEC for Health and Social Development, Ms Ntombi Mekgwe, addressed the graduates on behalf of the Minister of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, at their Declaration Ceremony.

A year ago, at the GIBS Foresight 2011 Forum, the sentiment was profoundly positive. Still buoyed from a successful 2010 FIFA World Cup, South Africans were upbeat about 2011; about the possibilities for emerging markets and the opportunities on offer as global growth and influence swung increasingly eastwards.
