Science Couple at University of Pretoria Wins Major Awards

Professor Brenda Wingfield of the University of Pretoria has been honoured by the African Union (AU) for scientific achievements that contributed to socio-economic development in Africa, while her equally astute husband Prof Mike Wingfield, a biotech expert at the university, received a top award from the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD).
