Twenty-one year old van Zyl hails from Nelspruit in Mpumalanga and she is a fourth year Bachelor of Law student at the university of Pretoria. The beauty pageant took place on Thursday evening (28 January 2010) in the Aula – at the Hatfield campus of the University of Pretoria.
