Tuks Swimmers help Team SA to defend title as the top swimming nation in Africa!

Tuks Swimming is very proud of their new breed of up-and-coming swimmers that returned from the African Junior Championships with outstanding individual performances. Marlies Ross, Ryan Coetzee, Rita Naude, Divan du Pisanie and Kitiwe Hadebe represented the South African junior national team that competed in Nigeria from the 1st- 4th December. Team SA successfully defended their title as the top swimming nation in Africa, in part thanks to the medal tally of 16 medals achieved by these five swimmers from Tuks.

The International Organization for Standardization’s technical committee for Geographic information/Geomatics, ISO/TC 211, held its plenary week from 13 to 18 November 2011 in Centurion, South Africa. The Centre for Geoinformation Science had five representatives at the meetings and plenary: Serena Coetzee, Antony Cooper, Noh Tewolde, Victoria Rautenbach and Jeofrey Ditsela.

Invitation to the 3rd World Human Rights Moot Court Competition

The competition will be held at the University of Pretoria on the 8th and 9th of December 2011. It will be supported by the Regional Office for Southern Africa of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (ROSA). The presiding judges in the final round in Pretoria will be eminent jurists and judges from international tribunals and bodies.
