TuksNetball : Report back on Intramural LeagueBy Misha JoycePosted on 26 October 2011 Another year of brilliant Netball has flown by. Every year TuksNetball hosts the Intramural League at the University of Pretoria Sports Campus. The League is for the University's various Residences to compete against each other. It is an opportunity for the girls to show off their skill amongst their peers but mostly to just have fun! This year we had a very large amount of teams entering for the league. Due to the huge interest in the league this year we had to separate the Junior League from the Senior League and were glad to have had 25 Seniors teams and 15 Junior teams taking part. The League ran over a period of 13 weeks were teams played every Tuesday to work their way up to the finals. Some teams were good and others were brilliant. We all know there can only be ONE winner at the end of the day. We were really blessed to witness good and talented netball. These teams were committed, willing and spirit filled with every match they played. All the girls had so much fun and a great and energetic atmosphere was created by all the spectators. We had a ball of a time! We want to thank every Sport HK, SSC Committee member and umpire. You truly contributed to making the 2011 season a big success! To all the Sport Science Students, without you there would be no tournament. Thank you for all the hard work. The Finals were held on 6 September 2011 for the Junior teams and 13 September for the Senior teams. The Top three positions in the Senior League went to Curltizia who came third, Madelief who came second and Jasmyn who came first. And the top three positions for the Junior League were rewarded to Jasmyn who was third, Klaradyn who came second and Madelief who were the champions. The log standings are as follows:
