Tuks first Sun City champions

Champions! Tuks's netball team.

Tuks was one of five universities taking part, the other four being Pukke, Kovsies, Maties and UJ.

Tuks 1 won four of their five games. The team had an excellent tournament and eventually won by goal averages (goals for divided by goals against) after Tuks, Pukke and Kovsies all lost one match.

Tuks were crowned champions because of the great scores they put up during the tournament.

The team will now be preparing for the USSA Tournament in July.

The triumphed Tuks team was:

Results: Tuks bt Pukke I 49-47; Tuks bt Pukke u.21 59-21; Tuks bt UJ I 42-34; Tuks bt Maties 51-34; Kovsies bt Tuks 36-32.

Final standings: 1. Tuks 1 (1.354); 2. Pukke I (1.237); 3. Kovsies (1.162).
