TuksCricket : Tuks 1 ends first round as undisputed pace setter

Assupol Tuks 1 ended the first round of the NCU Premier League on a very high note last Saturday when they outplayed CBCOB 1.

Winning by 139 runs, Tuks 1 recorded its 10th consecutive win of the season. It was only CBCOB 1’s second defeat of the season.

Tuks 1’s lead on the log has subsequently grown to 12 points (59). CBCOB 1 is second (47) with Tuks 2 ending strongly to move up to third spot wit 42 league points.

Tuks 2 beat PHSOB 1 by 4 wickets in its last first round match.

In the other NCU leagues Tuks teams also made their mark with Tuks 6, 7 and 8 topping the respective logs.

TUKS 1

Tuks 1 batted first and scored 323 all out (Maurice Aronstam 105, Leon Nel 73*, Francois le Clus 49).

CBCOB were bowled out for 184 runs (Maurice Aronstam 5/29 in 10 overs, Tumi Masekela 2/41 in 8).

TUKS 2

PHSOB 1 scored 155 all out (Rikus Weideman 3/22 in 14 overs).

Tuks 2 scored the runs with 6 wickets down in the 40th over (Craig Letcher 87*.

TUKS 3 v CBCOB 2

CBCOB 2 scored 251/9 (Deon Coertzen 3/52 in 9 overs).

Tuks 3 were bowled out for 241 (LC Wilsnach 54).

CBCOB 2 wins by 10 runs.

TUKS 4 v PHSOB 2

PHSOB 2 wins by 10 wickets.

TUKS 6 v WILLOWICK 6

Tuks 6 scored 228/9 (Jason Liebenberg 76, Alex Ralph 40).

Willowick was bowled out for 170 in the 29th over (Alex Ralph 4/23 in 5.2 overs, Chester Kirkwood 3/41 in 9).

Tuks 6 wins by 58 runs.
