Winning photo 2012
This year the UP Archives, together with Q-Photo and Vega, will be celebrating a decade of presenting a very successful collaborative photography project.
Throughout 2012, students and staff will be able to attend four free workshops presented by professional photographer and Vega lecturer, Martin Short. By the end of the year, attendants will not only have developed their photographic skills, but will also stand a chance of winning prizes worth up to R43 000.
The first of the popular Saturday photography workshops will be on 25 February 2011 at 09:00. Join us in HSB 4-1 on the UP main campus. This workshop, along with the subsequent workshops on 12 May, 4 August and 15 September, will cover aspects like the operation of a camera, the basic mechanics of photography, and the understanding of flash, balance and composition.
All UP students and staff are welcome to attend the workshops. Please book in advance at the UP Archives in the Old Arts Building 1-22, or call 012 420 2123/ 3036, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Bookings and enquiries can also be made at the Q-Photo outlet in the Student Centre or email email@example.com.
Why not give your photographs a professional edge and yourself a chance of winning great prizes?
