Tuks are still unbeaten in the first round of the 2010 Carlton Cup Competition after beating TUT 22-16 last night (Thursday, 22 April).

Tuks did not have a great first 40 minutes and were actually in a spot of bother at halftime when TUT was leading 16-6.

In the second half Tuks managed to turn things around by making less mistakes and using their chances better.

Both teams scored a try a piece which made goal kicking the key to victory. In this regard the personal contributions of Justin van Staden (12) and Gertjie Smith (8) were invaluable. Gertjie also scored Tuks’ try after some brilliant play.

Tuks’ next match is on 1 May against Police, who last night lost to log leaders Centurion.
