Unbeaten Tuks little to be joyful about

Tuks are still unbeaten in the 2010 Carlton Cup knock-out round, but will nevertheless take little joy from the draw against Police on Saturday, 1 May.
These two arch rivals shared the spoils (13-13) after Tuks had built up a very handy lead of 13-0.
Difficult playing conditions – rain and a consequent slippery ball and playing surface – made expansive rugby a tall order and it came as no surprise then that both teams kicked a lot.
Tuks looked the better side in the opening 25 minutes, but let it slip then. They will have to learn to concentrate for longer periods. Playing at pace for 80 minutes is a virtual dream, but Tuks will have to up their game as far as finishing, tempo and decision making are concerned.
Tuks’ next match is on 8 May against Harlequins at Harlequins A (16:00 kick-off).
Tuks’ try was scored by Gertjie Smith. Justin van Staden succeeded with a conversion and two penalties.
