UP-Tuks spoiled the big TuksRugby party on Saturday by losing to Police in the Carlton First League Final played at Loftus.
The other Tuks teams in the finals all won their respective matches leaving it to UP-Tuks to finish the day on a high, but they failed to do so. It was head to head at the break (10-10), but UP-Tuks were 20-10 up with only six minute to play before Police’s final onslaught broke the back of the defending champions.
Police scored 10 points in the last four minutes to take the title for the first time since 2009 (27-23).
The other results are:
2nd league: Tuks Fezelas 46, Police 26. 3rd league: Tuks Pumas 39, Naka Bulle 15. o.21A: Tuks o.20 41, TUT 10. o.21B: Tuks Academy 49, Tuks o.19B 19. o.19: Tuks A 45, TUT 29.
