More than 200 class representatives from various faculties attended a lively leadership session in the Roosmaryn Building this month. But the focus was not only on leadership; the whole concept of followership was also explored.

From the group discussions and practical examples, it became clear that nobody could be a leader without followers. The students also concluded that both leadership and followership required boldness and bravery in order to start a successful movement.

The workshop, presented by Mia Badenhorst of the Department of Student Affairs, aimed to emphasise the importance of ethical leadership and positive role models. From the feedback, it was clear that these objectives were achieved.
