Prof Eric Mazur, well-known physics professor and teaching specialist from Harvard will be visiting the University of Pretoria from 29 May to 1 June 2012.
Prof Eric Mazur, the guru of Peer Instruction, is visiting the University of Pretoria on 30 May 2012. Academics from other universities are welcome to join us for the day. Prof Mazur is a well-known physics professor and teaching specialist from Harvard. His colleague and specialist in sustainable teaching innovation in Higher Education, Angelica Natera, will be accompanying him. This is their first visit to South Africa.

Workshops will focus on areas of interest such as:
- interactive teaching strategies – Peer Instruction, designing concept tests;
- promoting and sustaining teaching innovation;
- research and teaching – balancing research and teaching, inquiry-based learning.
