Fisika student Claudia Zander het die Universiteit van Pretoria (UP) 2008 Suider-Afrikaanse Vereniging vir die Bevordering van Wetenskap (Southern Africa Association for the Advancement of Science) (S2A3) Brons Medalje vir die beste Meestersvlak dissertasie ontvang. Die S2A3 brons medalje dien om plaaslike Meestersvlak wetenskap-studente te prys en aan te moedig.
