“The Tuks Campus Board Game is a truly unique and inventive information and marketing strategy. The team from the University of Pretoria is to be highly commended.” This was the opinion of a team of judges at this year’s Marketing, Advancement and Communication in Education (MACE) Awards ceremony that was held in Cape Town last week

The Tuks Campus Board Game was the overall winner in the Internal Campaigns Category. Members of UP’s communication team also received Excellence Awards for the booklet and programme produced for the opening of the revamped Aula Theatre and for the Student Communication Campaigns. The judges commented on the unique and stylish execution of the Aula booklets, as well as the engaging written copy that was aimed at a broad readership. Praise was also received for the quality of the photographs and the picture selection.

The MACE Awards are presented each year during the organisation’s annual conference. The three-day conference was attended by a group from the Communication Division in the Department of University Relations, members of marketing teams in faculties, representatives of Junior Tukkie and communicators from other universities, universities of technology and FET colleges.
