About us
In 2006, the University of Pretoria embarked on a realignment and repositioning of the University’s image and brand. In 2007, the new UP branding strategy was launched as part of the overall strategic plan, Innovation Generation: Creating the Future 2007 – 2011. The branding strategy included the introduction of a refined logo, plans to address the haps in brand consistency and the introduction of a new co-ordinated advertising and media selection.
UP has a strong media presence and the Department of Corporate Communication and Marketing (CC&M) publishes a number of excellence publications as well as the UP website.
The Department comprises of the following units:
- Communication and Marketing
- Events / Outreach
CC&M also has close links with the Centenary Office that was established to facilitate and manage the Centenary celebrations in 2008, as well as the Department of Cultural Affairs that formerly formed part of CC&M
