Dr OA Ayo-Yusuf formally appointed as the 12th Member of the Tobacco Regulation Study Group

Dr OA Ayo-Yusuf is an alumnus of the Master of Public Programme from the School of Health Systems and Public Health.

He is currently working for the School of Dentistry at the University of Pretoria and has been formally appointed as the 12th Member of the prestigious scientific group of the World Health Organization – Tobacco Regulation Study Group (TobReg).
 
This group, made up of international experts in tobacco control, works within
the Tobacco-Free Initiative programme, which is part of the Non-communicable
disease and Mental Health (NMH) cluster of the WHO. The objective of
the TobReg is to advise WHO about scientifically sound recommendations to Member States addressing the most effective and evidence-based means to fill regulatory gaps in tobacco control and achieve a coordinated regulatory framework for tobacco products
