Teaching Assistants (2010 - Semester 2)Posted on 06 July 2010 We wish to invite applications for the following vacancies... Teaching Assistants (2010 - Semester 2) (Second-year Practicals & Markers and Third-year Practicals) Duties include: Assisting with the preparation, presentation and evaluation of undergraduate biochemistry practicals / assisting with evaluation of second-year tests. (Complete job description available on request.) Minimum requirements: For Third-year practicals: - Previous experience as a tutor or demonstrator in Biochemistry practicals. - BSc(hons) Biochemistry or equivalent. For Second-year markers: - BSc(hons) Biochemistry or equivalent. For Second-year practicals: - BSc with Biochemistry on third-year level. - The candidate must be available for the whole duration of the semester. Recommended requirements: - Computer literate. - The candidate must be able to communicate fluently in both English and Afrikaans(read, write and speak) - Must be able to work independent and be punctual. - Good inter-personal and communication skills. - Previous experience in presenting Biochemistry practicals. - Be less than one (1) year out of academic cycle.
