International Summer Research Programme - 2011 / School of Life Sciences-Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne/Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Life Sciences
Up to 25 fellowships will be awarded to undergraduate students for the Int. Summer Research Program 2011-School of Life Sciences at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology - Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland.
The EPFL School of LIfe Sciences was launched with the strong belief that biomedical research will increasingly rely on quantitative approaches and high-end technologies, and that its future lies at the crossroads of biology, engineering, informatics and basic sciences. The School now hosts more than forty-five research groups that apply this philosophy to broad questions including mental or neurological disorders, cancer, diabetes, infectious diseases, pushing for integrated approaches that span a range of disciplines from functional genomics to high-tech bio-engineering, and from computational neurosciences to structural modeling.
