Campuses

The seat of the University is in the metropolitan area of Tshwane. The official address of the University of Pretoria is:
University of Pretoria, Lynnwood Road, Private bag X20 Hatfield, Pretoria 0002, South Africa.

The University has the following academic campuses/sites of operation:

• The Hatfield Campus in Pretoria which accommodates six faculties (including the Experimental Farm, the LC de Villiers sport facilities and residences);
• The Groenkloof Campus accommodating the Faculty of Education;
• The Mamelodi Campus which was incorporated into the University of Pretoria in 2004 in terms of Section 24 of the Higher Education Act, No 101 of 1997, as part of the restructuring of the South African higher education system;
• The Prinshof Campus accommodating the Faculty of Health Sciences. The Faculty of Health Sciences operates in a number of hospitals in three provinces;
• The Onderstepoort Campus accommodating the Faculty of Veterinary Science;
• The Sandton Campus in Illovo, accommodating the Gordon Institute of Business Science;
• A number of other sites including the Hammanskraal Campus and experimental farms.
