Dr Slippers is ’n senior lektor in die Departement
Genetika en is lid van die Bosboubeskermingsnavorsingsprogram
(TPCP) en die DST-NRF Sentrum vir Uitnemendheid in Boomgesondheids-biotegnologie,
wat deel is van die Bosbou en Landbou
Biotegnologie-instituut (FABI). Hy doen
navorsing in molekulêre ekologie en die
evolusie van swampatogene en insekpeste
op bome en biologiese agente om dit te
beheer (insluitend die ontwikkeling van
biologiese beheer programme). Artikels uit
sy pen is in 34 ISI gegradeerde vaktydskrifte

Dr Slippers is a senior lecturer in the Department
of Genetics and is also a member of
the Tree Protection Cooperative Programme
and the DST-NRF Centre of Excellence in
Tree Health Biotechnology, which fall under
the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology
Institute (FABI). His research interests are
in molecular ecology and the evolution of
fungal pathogens and insect pests of trees,
and their biological control agents (including
the development of biological control
programmes). He has published 34 papers
in ISI- rated journals, receiving a total of
342 citations.
