Prof Johan Schoeman

Toekenning vir Uitnemende Jong Navorsers

Prof Schoeman is mede-professor in die Departement Geselskapsdier Kliniese Studies.
Hy het 26 referate op internasionale konferensies en 23 op plaaslike konferensies
gelewer en 18 van sy portuurbeoordeelde
wetenskaplike artikels het in ISI-vaktydskrifte
verskyn. Hy is tans besig met sy doktorsgraad
oor die endokriene reaksies op
kritiese siekte in honde aan die Universiteit van
Cambridge. Hierdie navorsing het bygedra
tot publikasies in die volgende internasionale
vaktydskrifte: Veterinary Parasitology,
Journal of the American Veterinary Medical
Association en Microbes and Infections. Prof
Schoeman is ’n lid van die Royal College of
Veterinary Surgeons en is hoof-eksaminator
vir die Europese Kollege van Veterinêre
Interne Geneeskunde.

Prof Schoeman is an associate professor
in the Department of Companion Animal
Clinical Studies. He has presented 26
papers at international conferences and 23
at local conferences and has 18 peerreviewed
scientific publications in ISI journals.
He is currently completing a PhD on the
endocrine responses to canine critical illness
at the University of Cambridge. From this
research he has published papers in the
following international journals: Veterinary
Parasitology, Journal of the American Veterinary
Medical Association and Microbes
and Infection. Prof Schoeman is a member
of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
and chief examiner for the European
College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
