New Worship in Africa Research Group

The speakers were Prof Leonora Tubbs Tisdale, Professor of Worship and Preaching at Yale University, and Prof Hennie Pieterse. After the two excellent papers, the group enjoyed a fruitful discussion regarding the theme. Prof Tisdale donated copies of her books entitled Prophetic Preaching. A Pastoral Approach (WJK) and Teaching Preaching as a Christian Practice (co-edited with Thomas Long) to the UP library. The visitors took a guided tour of Pretoria, led by Prof Pieterse, during the day and enjoyed dinner with their hosts in the evening.
