A group of nine final year Quantity Surveying students from the Department of Construction Economics visited Dubai during the July recess

The students visited several construction sites both in Dubai and in Abu Dhabi (amongst others the multi billion $ Yas Island development including the new F1 race track) and had meetings with development specialists and other professionals.  These companies were so impressed with the Tuks students that three members of the touring group are now in discussion with them for employment for 2010!  The group also had a little free time in the busy tour schedule to fit in a dhow river cruise, 4x4 desert safari and some water sport!
