Research collaboration established with the Ear Science Institute AustraliaBy Department of Communication Pathology/die Departement KommunikasiepatologiePosted on 03 February 2012  Prof Rob Eikelboom and Prof De Wet Swanepoel Research linkages have been forged with the Ear Science Institute Australia, University of Western Australia. Prof Eikelboom, a bioengineer and senior researcher at the institute, visited the Department of Communication Pathology at the University of Pretoria to develop joint research projects between the two institutions. Prof Eikelboom specialises in ear and hearing healthcare with a specific focus on telemedicine practices to bring these services to underserved areas. Prof Eikelboom also shared their research efforts with audiology final-year students and staff in the Department.  |
