Jacob Tseko, an athlete sponsored by the SA Department of Sport and Recreation won his u.17 age group cross country race with ease at the Pretoria schools' league 1 on Wednesday (28 July). When asked how was the race he answered "easy for me but hard for the others!" Jacob is reaping the benefits of attending the Winter Camp organised by Michael Seme. He spent only one week of his holidays at home in the Free State and returned for a five week camp here in Pretoria. He trains with Caster Semenya and others in the group. Jacob will prepare for the bigger competitions that are scheduled for August and September. A special thanks to Michael Seme for his role in helping to groom one of the exciting prospects for middle distance running in this country. |
