SA Triathletes dominated at the All Africa Games in Maputo

Since triathlon?s inclusion in the Olympics in 2000, the sport has exploded worldwide.
The All Africa Games recently staged triathlon as a discipline in the sprint distance in Maputo. South Africa dominated the podium in both the male and female categories with Erhard Wolfaardt winning the men’s race, Carlyn Fischer the ladies race, while Andrea Steyn won a silver and Wian Sullwald a bronze.
The hpc & TuksTriathlon was significantly represented at this event. Coach Parry is based at the hpc in the capacity of the Institute for Sports Research performance division head while Wian Sullwald is a learner in the TuksSport High School and in the TuksTriathlon programme. Andrea Steyn work as a physio in the hpc physio practice while Carlyn Fischer is a Tukkie that trains in the Tukkies swimming & running programmes.
