Research   

The Department of English is actively involved in research and promotes the further development of its graduates by supervising master's theses and doctorates.

Members of the Department have published books, chapters in books and articles.

Some members of staff are also well known as authors of novels, short stories, dramas and creative translation, notably Professors Andries Wessels, David Medalie, and Russell West-Pavlov.
