The Tuks Rugby Club has been in existence for more than a century.

Currently Tukkies are one of the largest rugby clubs in South Africa with 55 teams and more than 100 coaches and team managers.

To date, Tukkies have produced 87 Springboks for the national rugby side as well as four Springbok captains.

The club's home base is the UP Sports Campus (also known as the LC de Villiers Sports Grounds ) and has a modern, well equipped stadium, state of the art strength and fitness gym and six rugby fields with floodlights to its disposal. 

On the southern side of the stadium there is a well equipped clubhouse.

On 15 June, TuksRugby proved their supremacy in Blue Bulls club rugby by claiming all five championship titles on offer in the 2013 Carlton League. The top prize at stake was the coveted Carlton Cup, the piece of silverware that eluded UP-Tuks 1 last year when they went down 23–27 to Police in the final.
