Staff members and the student societies of the Faculty joined forces and collected an amazing 1 517 blankets in total. This mountain of blankets was donated to Jacaranda 94.2 on Friday, 15 June 2012, during the “Grab-a-mug” function of the Faculty. Ilze-Marie and Tania, the project managers for the 2012 Winter Warmer project, also attended the function and collected the blankets.

Commercii, the student house of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, collected more than 450 blankets and House CA, the student society for BCom Accounting Sciences students (only 250 students in total) raised R11 500 to buy blankets with.

The blankets donated by staff and students of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences formed part of yet another community project of the Faculty.
