2007, International artist visits our department

The internationally renowned Belgian artist, Mark Cloet, was the guest of the Department of Visual Arts from 15 to 26 October 2007. Cloet works in many different media, especially graphic media, bronze, ceramic and wood, and has participated in numerous European exhibitions, also the Venice Biennale in 1993. He is known for imbuing his work with narrative.

The artist is conducting workshops with the third- and fourth-year Fine Arts students and presents two lectures on his work: Monday 15 October and Monday 22 October, 10h30-11h30, Room 3.1 Visual Arts Building. Staff members of other departments are welcome to attend these lectures.

He will also participate in a group exhibition, Bliss, from 27 October to 17 November at Fried Contemporary Art Gallery (430 Charles Street, Brooklyn). The exhibition will open at 18h30 on 27 October.
