Facilities

Undergraduate students are required to do practical work from their first year, right through to their fourth year of study.  Venues for the practical include the following places:

• Various old age homes in the Pretoria, Eersterust and Mamelodi areas
• Various academic hospitals such as the Steve Biko Academic Hospital, Tshwane District Hospital, Kalafong Hospital and Witbank Hospital
• Various psychiatric institutions such as Weskoppies Hospital and Denmar Clinic
• Various schools and private practices for paediatrics fieldwork
• Various vocational rehabilitation practices
• Various centres within the Hammanskraal and Witbank communities
