Since its earliest beginning of 120 students and a staff of 5 the department has expanded to a nationally and internationally competive institution with more than a thousand student per annum and is involved in 80 pre-graduate and postgraduate courses. Besides being involved in the training of health professionals the Department of Anatomy has a postgraduate program with specialization in Clinical Anatomy, Cell Biology/Histology and Skeletal Biology/Anthropology.
