Projects

The Department uses STATOMET – BUREAU FOR STATISTICAL AND SURVEY METHODOLOGY – as a medium through which all its research projects are done. STATOMET is an integral part of the Department of Statistics with the following functions:

• Research on statistical and survey methodology with special emphasis on the application thereof
• Internal statistical consultation, advice and training for other departments of the University
• Statistical consultation, advice and training to entities outside the University
• Training, support and the evaluation of survey methodology internal and external to the University.
