The Department of Veterinary Tropical Diseases (DVTD), Faculty of Veterinary Science at the University of Pretoria (UP) is offering a two-year MSc research project. The project is funded by the National Research Foundation.
This project forms part of a larger project dealing with the development of early stage diagnosticassays for detection of Mycobacterium bovis infections in different wildlife species. The aim is to clone the gene of interest, followed by the expression and purification of the recombinant protein. This would then be followed by further development of a diagnostic assay.
