The Department of Veterinary Tropical Diseases present a number of certificated, primarily web-based modules for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in collaboration with CEatUP. These modules focus on animal health management issues of infectious and parasitic diseases, particularly in the Afrotropical (sub-Saharan) Region.
These modules will be of great value for candidates from developing countries where particularly transboundary diseases are often the biggest constraint to socio-economical development. The modules will also be very useful to candidates from the developed world from which many of these diseases have been eradicated, often at great cost, but nevertheless still pose a distinct threat because of increased international trade of animals and their products.
The Department also presents a selection of short courses for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
