The crowning of the Debutante who will take up the role of Miss Tuks RAG Queen sees the final step in a 7-month programme which started with over 80 girls who have now been pared down to the Top 19.

The Tuks RAG Procession is a parade which is one of the biggest annual events in Pretoria. On display will be a parade of floats constructed by Tuks students from residences and day houses, all in aid of charity.

Prof Kobus Eloff, Head of the Phytomedicine Programme in the Faculty of Veterinary Science, was awarded the NSTF-BHP-Billiton award (sponsored by Eskom) made to a researcher for an outstanding contribution to SETI (science, engineering, technology and innovation) through research capacity development over the last 5 to 10 years.
